I am about to be moving into a house with a 2.5 car garage, in the past i've always either had a 1 car garage and/or a storage unit for most of my ****. My toys, my tools, etc. I will finally have a place to keep everything at home, and I am looking for some ideas for cheap but efficient storage/work space that I can remove when I move, and also not destroy my security deposit. As much as I would like to build my wall up with shelves, and peg board, etc, I cannot do that renting.

I do a lot of wrenching (I am a full time Toyota tech) and would like to make efficient storage for my tools, parts, and also a work bench, while still having room for 2 cars.

Lots of good ideas on here. You might start off looking at the "Garages" area in the forums. When I was renting I used several different types of boxes and free standing shelving units. You might even get away with putting them on "french cleats" so you can just pick them up off the walls when you move.

One of the threads I first thought about is this one: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110832
