I talked to my snapon guy friday and asked if they had a 1/4 cordless impact. Something like the ct4410 but a little more compact. He said that they we're coming out with one but did not know when does anyone have any information on this.

I have a 10.8V/12V Bosch Impact Driver that I use with a 3/8" adapter. You can use a 1/4" if you want but I don't know if it's compact enough for you. It's a little bigger than my coworkers Snapon 7.2V shown above.

I have Matco's 10.8v impact and driver, Cornwell sells the same set but in their colors and its cheaper. Ive used it everyday for 8 months now w/out any trouble. Heres a pic of the impact.

That looks like it uses the same handle and battery pack as the little drills. Which is nice in that it would be the right size but I have one of those drills and the batteries are terrible. Maybe it is just mine but I have to keep 2 or 3 batteries for one job.

to be completely honest it is hard to beat the SO's for size. but for power and battery life it is really easy to find something better. for instance the dewalt 12v impacts have twice the torque and my bosch has waaaay more battery life.

I use the smallest bluepoint 1/4cordless air ratchet they have everyday and it has quickly become my most used tool. But like most things it needs a little bit more kick. I think ill take a look at the bosch for just the battery life.

I use the little Snapon drill with a 1/4" adaptor constantly, start with 2 batteries, and swap them out as they run down, best thing I have found for interior trim work, It will do 10mm head bolts, but that's about the limit.

My CT525 has been one of my closest friends for a while now. We really bonded over the last several hours as my leaky radiator turned into a complete cooling system overhaul (new water pump, radiator, thermostat/housing, crank sensor bracket (don't ask) and hoses).

I have the Matco 1/4 impact and 1/4 cordless ratchet, both tools are excellent.......I have the Snap On 3/8 7.2V impact and looking for the 1/4 7.2V, I thing you gotta love about the diff companies products is the use of 1 battery for the different tools.

LOL, well heres a pic of matco's 10.8v "Electric" Ratchet....

And heres Cornwell, sure looks the same to me........

I've had both apart and the drive head assemblies are different. The Matco uses the same head that they use on their 1/4" air ratchest. The Matco uses an Aluminum upper body. The Cornwell uses a plastic cover over the upper body. The motor and battery systems appear to be the same and I've used both batteries in each brand of tool.

Got my Milwaukee M12 2450-22 1/4 impact earlier this year on the by one tool get this one free deal. Absolutely love it! Puts down an impressive 850 in-lbs or torque (250 in-lbs more than the Snappy CT525). Locking bit collar keeps a 1/4 or 3/8 drive adapter in it's place.

The kit is going for $99 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001F7BIH6/?tag=atomicindus08-20

FWIW, this is near identical to the nextec I posted about... but for quite a bit more $. The Nextec can be had <$70 on sale

those Craftsman's Nextec dont have a battery gauge, and i think one battery versus 2 on the Milwaukee , the craftsman web site doesn't say it includes 2 batteries, plus it shows just one in the picture.
