I am thinking about trading an old snap on box (old and rusty) plus $2500 for one like shown above. Good deal??? Here is a pic of my current box.

You'd get board having all those drawers the same width; the 103 incher looks more like it with its narrow side drawers. The first thing I'd have to do with that Cornwell box is put one end of it up on a floor jack so I could swap the middle and end casters around, I wouldn't want it swiveling on both ends like they come.

good deal then???

No! Way too much money. Try to find you a nice slightly used box; have you looked on eBay? What about your local classified paper, have you checked there?

By the way, I have my doubts that your old box plus $2500 is going to buy that big Cornwell box. :(

I've never seen one in all the shops I've looked in. Even though they are rare that fact makes me wonder.

To the OP: Do you have a Conwell dealer in your area? That, to me, would be teh deal breaker. All the truck-tool toolboxes are going to be similar in function, quality and price. But if you buy a Cornwell box and only have Snap On dealers in your area.... well, you get the idea....

How much do you have in the Snap on box you're trading in?
It sounds like a good deal to me but, I have a Cornwell 60" top and bottom. It has served me well for several years. However, Cornwell dealers can be few and far between so, if you need help there may be an issue. The current Cornwell boxes are made by Remline. They used to be made by Kennedy but, that was years ago. The wider drawers actually give you more usuable space to fill up with more tools. I think if you can get a new box at less than half of list, you're doing ok.
By the way The canopy lists for another $3295. The bottom box alone lists for $8495.

That is way to much for any box period, imo. I spend on the tools, but for storage hmmm.

Thanks guys. I have really nothing in my snap on box now. It is old and has some rust on the bottom but it is a good solid box. I will know for sure today (i hope) I think it is a done deal though.

Thanks for all the info. Anyone got a pic of the 84" cornwell box?

Enjoy your new box. Make sure to clean out a big space for it as it will have a large footprint and put a good coat of wax on it for protection when you get it.

I like the S-O box he already has; I believe it's a KR655B with a KR650 top chest. Back in the day, those were considered high-end boxes that only the most elite mechanics could afford.

I know a snap on dealer that can sell it to ya.:bounce:

I really like my cornwell box that I bought this winter, only problem it needs to be three times bigger. I think you will be very happy with your new toolbox.

Very nice, I would consider that a deal any day. It even comes with baseboard heating?!

Dont forget to add it to the toolbox picture thread; I need all my tool **** in one spot.
