The early ones might have had some strength issues, I have a 24" adjustable that has been broken and repaired. Done well, I use it when ever I need and have no worries about it. Oddly enough I was working on a guys log loader this winter and he had a 24" adjustable Diamond that had been broken and repaired exactly the same way as mine. I don't remember if it said Diamond Calk, or just Diamond.
I will say GJ saved this wrench from possible loss though, it lives hanging in a compartment of my service truck. I went and took it out, took these pictures, and the pin and thumb wheel fell out on the shop floor. Must have rattled loose, could have been easily lost in the field!
