Any experience with Cripe Distributing?

I was looking over their website and seen a few things I would like to order to fill some voids in my collection.They seem to have good prices on the stuff they sell.Any body have any experience ordering from them?How is their shipping?I may place an order withem tomorrow or Friday to get some things I need (or should I say want).

I will add, they sometimes poorly package items, which doesn't make sense, because their shipping can be pretty expensive.

I had a rare Craftsman RHFT flex ratchet lost in the mail because they sent it only in a padded envelope with no reinforcement. Of course, they didn't have any more to send me.

I don't think they actually package and ship the items themselves. I stopped by the address in a mesquite Nevada it was just a little office building.

I will agree their website leaves a lot to be desired.So it seems their shipping is a little on the high side.I guess what they sell stuff for they make a little up on the shipping.Guess I will just have to order enough to justify the shipping charges.

I've bought from them through Ebay a few times. Combined shipping costs through Ebay are a pain, but the end result (just for shipping) is reasonable. Combine that with their great prices, and I'm happy to do the tap dance. Shipments have been received faster than promised every time.

At the start I liked the web-site but some person must have thought hey lets change it and does it ever **** big time; That was a case of not thinking on someones part.

Shipping is high but they are very nice to work with if any problems should come up.

I ordered through ebay about 10 items at once and I sent them a message asking about combining the shipping...a few days later I get an unpaid item strike, so after a not so nice email they straightened it out. Wasnt completely happy with them but would give them one more shot.

I've ordered and been happy, and I've collected up an order and given up over shipping. Been awhile since I've ordered, but mostly because I made some big orders and the stuff they have doesn't change that fast to get more that I want.

I have ordered a couple things from them. Most notable would be a Craftsman 3/8 x 12 flathead that they do not seem to sell in the stores anymore. Its sole use is to remove Snap-on hard handles.

Mine is not good! I ordered about $250 of stuff and make a long story short they charged my card 3 times with no record of order! It took 3 phone calls and 3 tries to refund me to get it straitened out.

My understanding is the change to the web sight is because of the problems with missing orders and billing.

My experiences with cripe via ebay have been good. Shipping can be high, but they would combine shipping if you order multiple items. Make sure you ask for a combined invoice prior to paying.

No issues here, have ordered from Ebay and directly from their website several times since joining Garage Journal. I guess I caught some kind of tool bug or something. The shipping is a little high but I figure it is worth it since it saves me time from hunting around for USA made tools in stores.

hard to find things on the site. i figured out it is much easier to search for general stuff like brands, then look around from there. example, looking for kobalt socket sets? wont find them under sockets section, gotta search "kobalt" or "kobalt socket" and dig around.

its a pain, but works. i too have had orders in my cart, and bailed once i saw the shipping rates.

Their ebay store is much easier to order from than their crappy website and seems to get to me faster. Thanks to everyone here posting about them, their selection has gone done and their prices have gone up. There are still many good deals to be had from cripe. ALWAYS ask for a combined shipping quote if shopping on Ebay BEFORE paying.

I have ordered quite a bit from them and all through Ebay. They will invoice out combined reduced shipping charges.

Only issue I had was that I received the wrong size screwdriver bits but they did send the correct replacements and told me to keep the other wrong size bits.
