Any experience with those AFO fire suppression balls?

Hello!

I just got exclusive access to an 800 sq ft shop located remote from my home.

I know I need fire suppression when I'm there, and these things look like they'll help when I'm not too.

Anybody have any experience? The videos look impressive, but we've all been lied to by cameras before.

Thank you.

Dry chemical extinguishers make a mess and are bad for electronics. That thing looks sketchy. Chinese made. Next to no usable info in their website. A little web searching shows lots of copycat products...

I would get a carbon dioxide extinguisher for general garage use, no mess to cleanup unlike an ABC extinguisher. Also, you could find a water can which are nice since they can be recharged with water and an air compressor. I like to add an ounce of dishwashing liquid to help.

Apparently AFO is a chinese knockoff and Elide is the original? No idea, just a video that popped up when I googled the product.

Either way, not something Id trust for unattended fire protection.
