I am putting together a tool kit for the charter boat. Tools which would be kept on the boat and used for maintenance and emergencies.

I am considering these SUNEX stubby wrenches but before I hit the Add-To-Cart button, I wanted to see if any of you had any experience with them.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas

I havent used them but everything I have used from Sunex has been of good quality.
They are probably in the same price range as Williams Taiwan stubbies, and those are some of the best feeling stubbies I have ever held.

I have a set of the Sunex 9914M metric angle wrenches, and they have worked great. Finish is clean and smooth, and sizes have been correct. Keep in mind, though, mine are marked "China", so I would imagine the ones you mentioned are as well.

Real nice little wrenches. Have both standard and metric sets. Never had them slip, still look good as new.

Good quality, and complete sets. I have SAE stubbys, metric stubbys, and the 8-32mm long pattern set. I'm extremely pleased with their products.

Impact sockets are great too.

I'm a little late to the party here, but +1 on Jason's comments. I bought a few random Sunex SAE angle wrenches recently for a simple task. The finish is smooth, lines are clean, stampings uniform, and with nicely finished openings.

Mind you, I used these only on a very light task so I can't speak to strength or durability. They are Chinese, but if you don't expect to use them daily or in demanding situations, they are probably fine. If the ones you are considering come from the same factory as my angles, I'd definitely consider them for special uses such as stubbies.

Tried to get a few pics, but my photo skills aren't too good.
