Any Forward 4 Post Lift Users Here?

Hi All,
New to the forum and looking forward to learning a lot.

I am in the market for my first lift, mainly to store the C7 Stingray for the winter and park another car under it, but also light maintenance on my other cars etc.

I keep going back to the Forward CEFP9 for the width and length it offers, but there are so many others out there I was wondering if this is a good choice or not. Does Forward make a good product? Good experiences? Bad ones?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

You're going to get 15 different answers. Just get what fits your needs and budget. Hard to find a bad lift these days.

Everyone is going to suggest the one they bought or the one they like the best based on what they've read. I bought an Advantage, but was ready to buy a Greg Smith until they lied to me. Wildfire would have been fine as well as others, I'm sure.

What is the advantage of a ALI certified lift?
I'm in the market also. New to lifts...was just going to go with a Bendpak just because seems like everyone likes it. Too many choices out there and all in the same ballpark price range.

I have been looking at many brand names myself. I am looking for the narrowest & shortest I can find to fit in my small 2-1/2 car garage, but still heavy duty enough to store a Mopar B Body (3600 lbs) up top for the winters.

If you want to use it to work on your cars forget the 4 post and get an asymetrical 2 post. No it does not hurt the suspension to let it hang. Get a wide version to make driving under it easier.

If money allows it I'm going to be purchasing a 4 post hopefully before the little one arrives. Been looking at used ones unless I can sell off some of my unused stuff to afford a bendpak or forward 10-12K.
What are the advantages or disadvantages of the 4 posts with the horizontal lift cylinder that runs along the front and rear posts? Only thing I can really think of is single point locking?

In my opinion Bendpak and rotary are a couple of front runners. I have a Rotary twin post
much more room to work under cars with a twin post. Must have a 5 inch thick floor to install. 110" between the posts.

I recently went through the search for a 4-post. Nothing has ever fallen off of a 4-post.

I eliminated the style that had the caster pins welded at the base of the columns. Would be a constant ankle buster.

The next decision was the ramp width. The actual tire contact patch of my truck is 76" outside to outside. That reduced my options as well. Sure, overhanging an inch of tire tread probably could be sorta safe. Just didn't want the "no wiggle room" for driving on.

My truck also just barely fits lengthwise into my garage so rack length was limiting me as well.

HD-9 for me.

Like was mentioned, you'll get a response from everybody regarding the lift they purchased. So, I have an Advantage Lift. It is one of the sturdiest lifts I've seen. Instead of the C channel columns, it has a boxed channel that doesn't allow for any side to side movement, loaded or unloaded. It's also very well built and provides accessories that will cost more on the BendPak. I think you'll be very happy with Advantage. I know I am, and everybody else that has one!
