Any Gedore wrench reviews?

Can I get some feedback on some people who use or have used Gedore wrenches? Particularly the UD 7's, basic combo wrench.

I searched the forum and couldn't find much, I know they are thinner than most wrenches... How well do they stack up to the competition? I can't remember if that German magazine tested the 7 and it broke at 168 Nm on the open end and 209 on the box end. Just looking for reviews, advice... :)

I have a set and certainly do like them. Finish and broaching is excellent and they are comfortable to use. They would be my go to wrench.

Do appreciate that they are a slim and lighter wrench, so if you are looking for pure brute strength for seized bolts, then look elsewhere. A thicker open end is less likely to round off a bolt.

(By the way, the torque figures you quoted is for the Gedore 1B series)

Their only competition I can think of is the Stahlwille open box (I am sure there are others). Dimension and profile wise they are very, very similar. I went with the Gedore as they were significantly cheaper.

I'm going to guess the 1B's are thicker, I was considering a set for suspension work.

So far I love the finish on them through pictures... They also have the UD drive which is appealing.

If anyone can point me in the right direction for wrenches it would be appreciated... I'm stuck between Hazet 600N's, Gedore 7's, Heyco/Wiha wrenches, and possibly Gedore XL's... I'm leaning on the 7's... Something about them seems really appealing to me. Gonna use them for suspension work, just want a good all around set.
