What are you trying to use it on ?

We bought one and it works well on M6 M8 , and most M10 nuts but not much larger ,
that works out to 7/16 , 1/2 , 11/16 nut sizes

it really does not have the power that the big boys have , but good for what we use it for

That one appears to be a knock off of a Mini ductor brand unit. Mini ductor or Blot buster are both good units, a bit more spendy though.

These are "game changer" tools in that you can do a lot with them and not need a torch, that alone makes it convenient. I use mine at work most everyday, from 6mm to 14-16mm, even bending some steel rod.

The coils tend to go somewhat fast if using them outside the duty cycle listed in the manual, but time=money so it's a trade off. The Bolt buster 2 I picked up to replace the Mini ductor my Brother had (about 4 years old & burnt out from hard use), it's about two years old IIRC, it gets used a lot and has no issues.

These, and their the smaller kids in the family. Largest unit I worked on was
3 MW tube welder. Most of the heat treat is 400kW power wise. Frequency dependent on job. 5 -10 kHz for most heat treat, usually less than 250 kHz. But can run up to 500 kHz.
Steering rack is for somebodies electric rack from somewhere.

I have a Mini Ductor HP for maybe a year now, love it, super quick but a little pricier than that unit.

Maybe I'll return it and just do this, the thing is a lot bulkier than I wanted, going to be hard to get in tight areas.

Anybody use this or similar before? They used to be ****, still are or? Going to use it around gas, plastic etc, not torch replacement. Also wondering about tool life, I remember these things dying.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KWQDYZY/?tag=atomicindus08-20

I read some reviews and want the REAL low-down...That's why I'm asking here!

Had the mini-duct or MD-710 for a while like the same as the one you linked.except I paid lot more then $600 or 7s don’t remember.

The low down? It’s good for nuts and bolts on around car and machines if you can wrap the coils around the nut. If you can’t then better break out that O/A torch.

It won’t melt metal, only heat it to dull red. It’s not really 1000 watt but what ever. It have few good applications like removing stickers and what not trim mounts that have a iron base.

It won’t melt solder pots or does any furnace aluminum melting soldering melting stuff. Those needed higher power stuff

This seems like it's a solid design, no? I'm impressed by the one I bought, but It is going to be to big for my auto need I'm afraid.

The build is a "remote" one.

Bolt Buster and MiniDuctor are the two original ones that release the induction heater for Automotive Nut applications... Everything else is copy after their pattern expired I think...

So... the one you link might be just as good or as bad as the bolt buster / miniductor.

Bottom line, the coil have to be able to wrap around the nut or the bolt for any of them to work...

I have the bolt buster 2 - paid a bit under $400 for it and a set of coils after a good amount of bargain hunting and patience. It's great IMO, but it's not a torch. But it can do many things a torch cannot do, and go places a torch cannot due to collateral damage risk. They're two different tools.

Yup, I bought an original style mini-ductor and it works great for certain things when you dont want an open flame (strut to top plate nuts, gas tank bolts/edge mkx recall, etc.). I came upon a source of free coils for a period of time so I have pretty much a lifetime supply, but also bought the "heating pad/paintless dent removal pad" and have gotten good use from that half *** repairing crash damage on personal beater vehicles.

They aren't cure all, end all seized fastener removal tool, but do have a useful place in the box if you run into dumb stuff alot.

Huh I never heard of that. I'm checking it out.

I'm a professional come-along tree frame straightener my self. Good enough to pass a State salvage inspection. It doesn't matter she was only looking for stolen parts basically-

It seems to work fine, but in the end I heated with a torch since it still would not budge. I panther pissed it for a MONTH prior too-

4 exhaust studs and nuts.....now I have 7 :(

It wont cure creases, but light dimples and large concaves in bed sides pop out easily with some heat from this. Have to be really careful not to boil the paint and clear coat though.
