Cheers,

Curious if any other Luthiers are on here? Would love to see some of what you guys have built.

I've started a company called Burn-Werks Guitars. Where I do extreme distress jobs on guitars, but keep their full play-ability. Feel free to add us on FaceBook if you like :) https://www.facebook.com/BurnWerks

Here's an idea of what I do -

cuz now it looks like one that was burned up on stage

the "relic" finish on fenders has been a popular item recently

in general, for myself anyways, if im buying something new i don't need any help screwing it up

I got no problems distressing or fading jeans on my own, and before long ill have holes around all the pockets. Same goes for all other articles of clothing.

OP, is it purely aesthetics or have you found any tonal qualities/properties you attribute to your work?

Plus it just looks bad *** to play a guitar that looks like it was possibly set on fire. especially if your a shredder.

I'd like to hear a video of it playing.

They appeal to people the same way Rat-Rods do. Not everybody wants a shiny new guitar. It fits some people's style great. All personal preference! @Funky, I'm in process of doing audio demos of all the guitars right now.
