I have a set of ugly orange handle chisels and I can't convince myself to replace them with a nicer set until these need replace. The damn things hold up incredibly.

Anyone else have tools they wish would break but won't?

Same thing here. I was given a set of Buck Bros chisels. Not the nice amber handle ones, the cheapo ones with no marking on them. They dont hold an edge unless I'm cutting pine and they were a gift so they cant be put out at next yardsale.

Yea the tool seeing my sister.

I think you're supposed to have three sets of tools. One for the car, one set for everyday use, and one good set that never gets used because you're saving it.:bounce:

I might use that to justify buying a new set!

the less than desirable tools are great to keep around for doing **** jobs where you dont want to use your good stuff or when you need to modify or abuse a tool to get a task done.
throw the thing into the 2nds box or junk box and buy the one you want
