Ha! I was at a local testing lab last Friday and they had one of those in a display cabinet. It was a Crescent brand though. The owner said it had belonged to his grandfather and he had never seen another one, so he put it on display. I'll take a picture when I go by there later this week. I guess the idea was to have two different size ranges on the same wrench. My guess is the bean counters decided they could sell twice as many wrenches by only putting the head on one end.

One side is standard, the other metric. It's not too well marked though so make sure you know which is which or you could end up with a lot of rounded fasteners.

Joe, is that 6 - 8" or 8 - 10" ?

I've seen pictures of Crescent branded versions but never a Gedore. Those are very collectable.

Its an 8-10. Took me quite a while to decipher the name. I will sell it. I'm a vise guy not a tool collector. Ive never seen one so I snagged it. You know, i went out with my calipers and I`ll be damned if mine isn't metric on one side and sae on the other.. who knew?

I've got the Crescent 8-10. It's probably from the 1930s. I can do 2 different sized bolts with one wrench. They haven't made them for a long time. I've never seen a Gedore one though. Maybe they are more common in Germany. Nice find.

I've got one that was my grandfathers. I'll never use it and frankly am embarrassed he had it, but I can't sell it either. I should have pretended not to see it in his garage...
