Any hope for fixing this ratchet?

I found this old JH Williams ratchet. It appears to be a 51A or a B-51A. The main gear and cover plate are missing. Are rebuild kits available? Is so with the manufacturer send me a kit? I presume this was a 3/8 drive ratchet. Thanks IMG_5570.jpgIMG_5569.jpgIMG_5568.jpg

Could be mistaken but that’s a 1/4 drive. It was made for refrigeration work I believe and that’s why the ratchet has those extra square holes. I’ve actually got that same model with the square holes.

The b50a and f50a are indeed fridge ratchets, they can be used with or without a plug and are nonreversible. The f51(rare) and b51 are reversible.

Yes it’s 3/8 drive I think the 1/4 square got me confused. Here is the b-51a ratchet and a picture from a industrial catalog explaining the tool. 7a1cd70074c55c72b9b27cfba4dcf56f.jpg

Looks like you are missing the gear and cover. Are the teeth still good on the pawl? If so I would be on the lookout for a nos rebuild kit. Otherwise a donor ratchet with cosmetic issues maybe cheaper.

Looks like the teeth are good on the pawl, I’ll keep it and maybe one day I’ll find a donor ratchet.

10-4 You wouldn't believe how many ratchets I've fixed for people using parts I found loose in a pawn shop bin or a donor tool.
