I read a similar problem on this board to what my situration is:
I bought a house last year that has Lenox Whisper air furnace/heat pump. The furnace has an old relay board screwed onto the side called a OKFuelmaster (58b41) OKC-1 by Heatcraft
From what I gather this keeps my heat running in either furnace mode or heat pump mode alone. The board is old and the relay quit working. What I would like to do is remove the board and hard wire the thermostat to the furnace via some terminal strips so that it runs in furnace mode only.
I did purchase a new honeywell dual fual board thermostat but never will use the heat pump setting. Can you please adivise. I've tried several times to get someone to work on this but here in Texas nobody knows how heat pumps work.
