Went to pick up some flammable oil rag cans from a market place ad today, ended up buying 3 of them for 50 bucks. Guy has a whole yard and shop of stuff that came out of a paper mill that shut down and he bought the contents. Had a flammable cabinet and asked how much out of curiosity and he said 50 bucks, sold. It's used but similar to this one, https://eagle.justrite.com/paint-in...esA9prPNoZ8DJHcnKDDO2CE6dXlFjeIxoCvdkQAvD_BwE. I have to go back tomorrow with the truck, only brought the car today for the oil bins. Going to do some more looking tomorrow at other stuff he has. He had 2 really nice welding table, probably 5x10' tops at least 3/4" thick plate with a big vice mounted on it but I don't have the room for a big welding table but sure would be nice.
He has plastic drum about 55 gallons in size with a vacuum on top, not sure what I would do with it but going to ask him how much and if it's what seems to be his 50 dollar magic number I may just pick it up and see if it would be good for anything. It's the same model as this but comes with a drum, https://www.ebay.com/itm/304535553576.
But he also has a half dozen or so of these 55 gallon drums marked used oil on them. The have what looks like a 2" shop vac style hose coming off the top of them hanging. Then on top has an enclosure with an air hose coming off it. I'm guessing some sort of pump or something to pressurize the drum to pump the oil out? I didn't get a chance to look at it good. But trying to figure out what this is to see if it would have any use for me. Yes I know if I don't know what it is then I probably don't need it but this is all quality industrial stuff that came out of a mill. Trying to figure out what it is and see if I may want to set it up as some sort of used oil collection or something in the shop. I do enough oil changes to justify a 55 gallon drum setup if it is something that would benefit me. But mainly just want to know what this is used for. Any ideas?
