Any idea what these are?

Bought a shelving unit with about 75 bins full
of hardware - lots of nuts and bolts and stuff I know about but a couple of bins with some type of lifting / adjusting bolts/ shafts
One bin has plates that look like they have something to do with it ….
Any ideas?

Screw fittings fit in the end of adjustable basement posts and provide the height adjustment, and the flat plates are used at the top and bottom of the posts.

Jack posts come in handy when doing remodeling, as adjustable temporary supports when changing walls, etc., or to hold and adjust the end of a beam or similar piece, especially when working alone.

If you use those put some anti seize on those thread so 5 years down the road they will still be easily adjustable.

I just shoot some PB Blaster on the threads whenever I move 'em & that includes using 'em. Silver anti-seize makes a mess of anything it comes into contact with. If I haven't used 'em in a year I'll spray the PB blaster and expose the part of the thread which didn't get the spray and spray that.
