Any idea what this might be?

I recently picked up very nice Kennedy 34" carpenters tool box at a swap meet that came with everything inside. There are a couple worthwhile pieces in the box, but mostly junk and one piece that I can't really figure out.

Only thing I can think of is some sort of prybar, but the finish and shape of the head don't really seem right for that application. It seems to have a metric thread, if it is a pry tool, I assume the handle is m.i.a. from here.

From here I'll leave it open to you guys.

What numbers are on the tool, I can't read all of them? Any pics of the kennedy carpenters box? Those are cool.

The end of it looks like it could be part of a brake spoon for adjusting drum brakes through the backing plate, although I have never seen one with that kind of handle design. Most I have seen are universal type with spoons at different angles on each end.

The far side of crazy.. but sometimes Australia
Looks like the sort of tool we use at work to manipulate a truck tyre onto the studs when you change one one the side of the road. Missing the handle if it is. If it is for assisting in changing tyres its in mint condition, all the ones in the trucks at work are beaten to death.

Yea, thread size and how about some overall dimensions? I think it might be a gauging type tool. I'm picturing it to be pretty small based on the size reference with the bead seam. :dunno:

I figured it out, it's to reconfigure your muffler bearings while changing your engine harness smoke when you run out of blinker fluid.

Tire spoon would be the probable answer (of what you could actually use it for). Either had a screw-on handle or the spoon itself was part of the assembly for a tire changing machine (or other setup).

Its a 12mm thread and the overall length is about 10-11", I left it sitting at work, so I can't be certain
