I have that same vise. It has taken some punishment and still works perfect. What does he want for it?
Parker 954S- I'm going to guess that the s is for smooth jaw. I believe they make (or used to make) a swivel base to use with this vise, but I really enjoy the solid feel of the fixed base...plus I can't remember ever rotating any of my vises over the past 30 years or so...
It's neat to be reminded not everyone thinks like I do--I won't own a vise that doesn't swivel!
Proper way to mount a bench vise:

You should mount it so that the static jaw overhangs the edge of the work bench. It doesn't have to be a lot; only enough so that you are free to clamp long pieces vertically without hitting the work bench. -Banjo
Look good! The only thing I would have done differently would have been mount it a few inches closer to the edge of the bench to that the face of the stationary jaw is just slightly out past the front edge of your bench. That would allow you to clamp longer pieces vertically in the vise and still clear the face of the bench (like this - borrowed from
"Everything you need to know about bench vises" here on GJ):
I haven't decided which vise will occupy this corner of the bench yet. Its a very tough decision.
