any ideas for stubborn hinge pin removal

I think this is being way overthought - heat the hinge with the ol' hot wrench (even a MAPP gas torch works, and is dirt cheap), then hit it with an air hammer.. I bet it pops right out!

right ive finnaly done it

i tried welding bits to the pin and a airchisel against it , for some reason the weld wouldnt take to the pin ? air chisel didnt touch it

so i made a slit with a 1mm disc and the pin just came out easily , then welded up the cuts

well even if i had heat it would have damaged more paint , so im fairly happy how it worked out

i dont think any home made pressing devices would have got it done
