I have my dads old Rem Line tool box That I have fixed up. I have had the lock to five of the best known lock smiths around our area and none can make a key. Anybody know of anyplace that specializes in this type of thing? Any place sell replica locks? Thanks for any help.

Is it the missing hasp you need? I think I would just look around my scrap drawers or prowl the hardware aisles until I found something that looked close then do a little filing, grinding, and bending till it looked right. For the lock, a small Master lock should work. If you need the entire latch, look up "toggle latch" for some ideas.

Surely there is a company that supplies those little things to all the companies that make lock boxes, etc. I would keep googling it til I found that company. Good luck.

just a quick google for money lock box. I have one I got from walmart I think, but it has a very similar lock. you can probably get one and drill out the rivets and re-use the lock.

Stanley also sells generic hasps at the box stores without the lock. I just replaced a broken one on a craftsman portable box, and it looks almost identical though the holes did not line up exactly...
