I'm starting to build a solar water heater with large water storage, probably in the 250-500 gallon range and trying to help heat a 28X32X12' high garage. I'm trying to figure out a cheap way to get the heat out into the garage without the expense of a hot water rad that hangs from the ceiling with a fan behind it. I can't seem to find one for a reasonable price, and was trying to come up with something else. A friend suggested a couple of rads from cars and that sounds good, but am wondering if there's anything I've overlooked? Any other ideas?

Radiant. Then you can use the concrete floor in addition to the water to store heat. It would also be more efficient as radiant works with low temperature water and a small input-output gradient. The perfect solution for solar.

only problem is, already built the garage this summer, and don't feel like jacking up the garage to smash the new pad out and put a new one in with pex tubing in it(just trying to make a joke)
i wish i had put the tubing in the floor when i poured, but was in a big hurry and i ran out of time and money
my original plans included radiant heat, but it got cut and i'm sure i'll kick my **** for many years for that decision
