I am in the process of restoring this Black & Decker bench grinder. I have only seen a couple of pictures exactly like this one. It is a Type F. I did find a guy with one that sold me some parts, so I basically have everything and it does run. I am just curious as to the background. What year were these produced and did B&D actually make it, or another company? Thanks, this is my first post.

This looks like mine. It says that this one is a model 74c, my tag does not give a model, just Type F and serial number 1598211. The other specs on the tag are the same. Wonder what the picture with 1947 is, I am assuming that these were made somewhere around that time. He is right about the covers and rests disappearing. I was lucky and picked up the whole left side from a guy in Indiana. Thanks for the information.
I think the picture of 1947 is showing the cover of the catalogue where it shows the grinder on the next picture
