Snap-on man made me, what I think, a great offer on a KTL7023 in blue with titanium trim.
My black KRL722 +3k.

pro's
-I like the drawer layout on the KTL, it doesn't have to many of the less than 2"' deep drawers
-I can add the powercab down the road
-I could use the extra space

con's
-blue is not my first choice
-I can make the space but with powercab it will be tight

Thoughts? how do users like the 3 wide drawers?
This is not a must buy, I can live with my 722 and use my matco 6 drawer kart daily as I do now.

You will love the added depth, plus there is a lot of room in the extra bank as well. The ISO ride casters will be a nice upgrade for you too. I like how they got rid of the skinny 2 inch drawers and give you an extra long 4 inch drawer, much more usable.

thanks for the reply TJ, what do you think about the price?
I'm trying to justify the purchase. I got a steal on the 722 so I would be in the 7023 for under 4k.

I haven't been able to find a list price for the KTL7023, a KRL7023 lists for 10k plus on snap-on website but I have seen them as low as 5k in as new condition in private listings.
I'm sure dealers got deals on the truck, The Matco guy has been putting all kinds of crazy deals out there but he seems shady to me and is known not to come around for months at a time.

It list for $10,350. I just bought a ktl7023pve today. Wasn't going to go for it but snap on offered $5500 for my classic and threw a Bluetooth speaker in for free. Can't wait to move into it.

Power cab is awesome, as long as you have the tools to actually make use of the space. It would be a waste if you only have an impact or two.

Wonder why they just don't call it a "KRL" instead they add a "T" just because of an extra drawer??

You can not add a powercab to the KTL 7023 as it is the entry level triple bank tool box for the "KTL Lineup" . The KTL 7023 box has only a 29" depth. The Powercab is 29 1/16" as per snap on website. The other KTL 1023 triple bank has a depth of 29 1/8" which will work with a Powercab.
However I love the height of the new KTL 7023 with a everyday user friendly 41 1/4" Height work bench verses a less usable KTL 1023 with a height of 45 7/8". It is very tall for a short guy. You need to be 6"0 to find that work bench usable everyday. This is if you don't add a top chest.

KTL boxes are designed with usability and everyday function in mind. With its 3 super wide drawers it's bomb! , especially a triple bank! The engineering of the box helps all technicians with the ease of use; example - sockets top bank, wrenches second bank, and prybars/screwdriver/handtools third bank.:bowdown::bowdown:

I think it's the height, not the depth, that seems to make the Powercab incompatible with 7xxx boxes. The 37"+ height of it fits onto a ~46" tall 1xxx box but not a 42" tall 7xxx box once you deduct the floor clearance. The website says it's for 1000-series boxes.

But if his driver told him that he can add a powercab down the line, maybe there's a smaller Powercab coming.

Possibly another smaller powercab coming. None the less depth is more important than height. But without depth it would never work. I have a KRL 722 box and my driver told me it will not work. The height never matters at all you would just have a powercab that sits lower or higher. It's all about DEPTH.

In your case, yes. But it's a different difference. :) You have a 24" deep cab so the 29" deep Powercab won't fit. It's not a 29.00" vs. 29.062" vs. 29.125" difference as you suggested in your earlier post, it's 24" vs. 29". The KTL is full-depth at 29" so that difference does not apply.

The 7xxx vs. 1xxx is about height. Although the website may list 1/8" or 1/16" differences in depth, I doubt it's real and I REALLY doubt it's enough to stop something from being bolted onto the outside. But it would be very close to the ground on a 7xxx and possibly not have the side support needed.
