I have started to collect the limited edition annual Mac Tools Collectors Club tools. Anyone else here have a collection?

I was wondering, is there a list available of all the "Mac Tools Collector's Club" tools that have been offered since it began?

Thanks
DJ

There is a gold plated MAC air ratchet at one of the local pawn shops for $250. It is tempting as it is the same price as a new regular one.

I have thought about the idea of collecting some MAC tools but they just were not that popular years ago around here so I doubt that I could get a set.

I emailed Mac Tools and got a list although it is handwritten. I will compile it and put it on here in pdf format if anyone wants it.

Alright sorry if this is a little off topic but I am new to the site. I have a Mac Tools 24k gold plated Dale Earnhardt Sr. Impact wrench model# AW434 S/N# DE002443. My father in law gave this tool to me years ago. Now I am not much of a Nascar fan but I would like to know what I have and wether I should sell it or keep it to give to my children.
Does anyone know where I can find more info on this. I have tried to contact Mac with no avail. I have spent hours on the internet searching for it but can only find one on Ebay that hasn't had any bids. If anyone knows of any collectors please let me know. Thanks.

Feel free to email me if you have any ideas [email protected]

Please don't get me wrong but what is the purpose of a gold plated tool?

Collectors items, I have a Snap-On 70th anniversary ratchet screwdriver with a "gold" shank and black hard handle (it was the only one the snappy man had on the van or I would have bought a red one.

To tell you the truth I'm not really a fan of yellow gold and prefer chrome or stainless finishes on tools/watches/motorcycles etc etc

Yes it's that anniversary stuff that always seems to get some of us derailed.
Man, that Snap-On 100th anniversary was a killer. I ask myself why???
I was so glad it when finally ended. Ratchets, screwdriver sets, !/4" socket set. Enough!!! :ROFLMAO:

The AW434 was a fine impact wrench. Best I can tell, it was made by Ingersol-Rand; based off of one of their name-brand tools but with somewhat different graphics in the Mac version. Point is, it was a really nice impact at the time, and pretty fair even now.

As to the value or collectability of a gold-plated Ironhead version...your guess is as good as mine. If you actually use it and put the faintest scratch or wear on it, the collectable value is shot. Even "shelf wear" will detract. If you don't use it, it's nothing more than a centerpiece/dustcatcher for a Man Cave.

LIUNArep has been on the forum since 2010, guessing that list is long gone.

Mac collector stuff generally doesn't sell for much more than the regular chrome tools in my experience. Better to just use them.

My girlfriend during the late 1980s worked at a muffler shop and when ever the Mac Man stopped by around my birthday, she would buy me a present. After a few years, I had some nice wrenches and sockets.
