My wife is thinking about buying me a maxjax lift for Christmas. I’ve found it listed for $1650 a couple times. Is their anyone doing a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale on the maxjax? I’m trying to save her some money!

Out of curiosity, what makes you want to buy the maxjax over something like ez car lift, QuickJack or another mid rise lift? still haven't been able to pull the trigger on something. Definitely don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish either.

I have a MaxJax and picked it because it gave a relatively high lift with full access to the car below it. I've used it to drop the engine on multiple cars since and it's been super easy where other lifts would have been in the way. Also, it took up a lot less space than others if you wanted to store it anywhere other than under the car.

If you find a good price on one, check to see if it is the new model which has a ratcheting lock mechanism.

I have started to look at these lifts. There are 2 models shown but they appear to be the same lift? What did I miss?

There were negative reviews online about recent lack of customer service, has anyone had issues?

With only 9' ceilings this might be the best I can find with clear under car access. I am tired of laying on my sore back at this point of my life.

For those that have one what are your reviews of these. Are they safe?

I didn't see how long the sale is for, if it's just for Black Friday then I'll pass until I get more answers.

Thanks in advance.

First thing to ask yourself... what are your needs? Do you want to be able to work under the car? What height requirement do you have? The other lifts you mentioned have a very limited lifting height.

Correct, there is the original MaxJax with 2 manual locking positions. The new ALI certified MX6 has 7 automatic safety locks.

MJ is on sale for 1649, MX6 on sale for 2049. Free shipping on both.

Check the thickness of your slab ,too. This is for any lift. I bought my maxjax in 2011. I think it was $1650 then. I don’t exactly remember. GES is just ok to deal with - Things like we’ll send you a couple missing fittings for “free” but then charge 25 bucks for shipping- but I digress. I would be interested to see the Certified version.

I've been looking as well at both the maxjax and the mx-6. One thing to note is the mx-6 comes with the liftgate service included in the price. the liftgate is a $100 option if you buy the regular max jax. Also comes with the 3 year warranty included with the mx-6. the regular one it is an option for $279.

Guess it all boils down to your needs.

In my opinion (as an owner) both versions are outstanding deals at those prices. Not sure how much more anyone could want for that amount of money.

I bit on the sale in late November for the $2050 version. Since I don’t own a truck the lift-gate service was nice. The driver was nice enough to help me get it up my sloped driveway, and then over the lip into the garage. Saved me from have to dissemble the skid at the bottom of the drive. He got a nice tip (which he tried to refuse) but it was money well spent.

Still haven’t finished with install, too much traveling, and an amazon seller didn’t seem to understand that when I ordered a 7/8” bit I didn’t want a 1”.

This weekend is the setup weekend, I am very excited.

I've had my original MaxJax for over 3 years now and it has done all that I needed very well. I have used it to remove a transmission, rear and front end, and many other projects. Wish I had the MX6 with the stops.
