Any Nitrile gloves that don't ****?

Has anyone found any general purpose, disposable nitrile gloves that don't ****?

I have tried SAS Astro-Grip, Venom and Hardy and they all either fit weird or tear too easily.

Looking for something for stuff like oil changes, painting, bodywork, etc...

I merely use the 5 mim ones from HF.. I understand the deficits and just deal with it.

You could always wear a pair of regular nitrile gloves and a pair of nitrile coated knit gloves over top for those certain jobs.

Grease Monkey gloves (8mil, black) are what we use at work.

They are a tight fit - I recommend going up one size.

I like the Microflex Midknight ones or the ones with the bumps for grip. Can't remember the OG brand though. Work provides Black Mamba brand and they're pretty good. Significantly better than the previous brand which was way too thin and tore super easily.

Another 5 mil Hardy vote. I prefer them over thicker gloves for dexterity. I don't try to reuse them. They cost about 6 cents apiece when I buy them on sale, so not worth the hassle of trying to dry them out or put them back on wet.

Besides the garage, wear them whenever cleaning fish so wanted some textured style last time ordering. Came across these 8mil. Every bit, if not better, than Hardy. Half price of Hardy's regular price. XXL are exactly that, well sized.

I’ve had good enough luck with the Venom Steel.

The HF gloves are both too stiff when thick and yet fragile. How they manage to be both less comfortable and more fragile than the Venom steel is impressive when they are thicker.

I have primarily used the Venom brand and no issues, but I do go between the black, orange and blue ones (thinnest to thickest, if I recall the order) depending on what I'm doing. I do wish the black ones were a few mil thicker, because I don't always want to have the texture they apply to the orange ones for extra grip (sometimes it's too much grip).

The 5 mil Harbor Freight used to be the fashizzle but they must have changed suppliers to the manufacturers of everyone elses around four years ago. I wear XL, now they feel like mediums, very hard to get on and they rip like crazy. In the old days I'd use them everyday with very few issues, now they're just like all the other crappy gloves out there, undersized and flimsey.

Black Lightning - mediums fit me, but I have very small hands; larger hands are going to need lg/xl. My local Carquest also carries these.

I buy whatever is on sale or cheap price, I've never had issues with them tearing super fast, when they they do I tear them off put new ones on and keep going.

Medicom Vulcan General-Purpose Nitrile Gloves  from Costco are what I swear by. They hold up very well and are innexpensive.

I've tried most of the ones mentioned in this thread, and those are among the best. I think the Venom Steel gloves sold at the Costco business center are also really good (the only gloves I've used that have different colors inside and out, white and black). Can't go wrong with either. Both are the only gloves I've tried that have a chance of lasting hours while in the garage wrenching.

I appreciate the input guys. I will give these recommendations a whirl.

I am missing 1/2” of a finger tip on my left hand and the little finger on my right hand is very crooked (catchers interference a long time ago…) which contributes to the fitment problems.

I've been using these for a few years. They are more durable than others I've tried. I can often use them for many days before tearing one. I like orange so that I know what I can touch without smearing grease on something else accidentally. Textured for grip.

A little SG on a paper towel cleans them up pretty well mid-job or for re-use later.

I peel them off inside-out, wipe dry their insides most of the way with a paper towel, and hang them up to finish drying. I turn them right-side out, blow air into them to fully restore their shape, and slip them back on over dry hands with no trouble.

I almost never wear any gloves. I do not like the feel of them when trying to do automotive work & handle small pieces.

Total agreement on the HF gloves. I had an old pre-covid pair size large and they're bigger than the new XL.
I used these from Amazon for a few years pretty strong. I can usually get several uses out of a pair of 9mil's.

The key is to use nitrile only when the job is right for them, and even then accept the fact that you're going to go thru a few pairs in the course of the job. Those super thick ones hold up but kill your dexterity, which is the whole point, so you might as well put a regular pair of gloves on. I used to pony up to Venom, but the same principle applies, especially if you're working on cars, they're going to break. So I just buy the Costco blue nitrile gloves and they work perfect for me and are vastly cheaper.
