So I purchased this Kit at Tractor Supply and am wondering what kind of experiance y'all might have with the 60v flexvolt batteries being used in any of the 20v max or 20v Max XR tools. I ask because I have seen a review that claims the 60v flexvolt batteries can fry 20v max tools.

If any one is interested The Dewalt kit is DCKTS295T2 and the Tractor Supply SKU is 1610684. The kit is comes with 2x 60v 6AH batteries, a charger, a Touch system Tool box to house all the tools, DCS388 60v Flexvolt XR Recip Saw and DCF887 20v max XR Impact Driver. I bought the kit knowing I can get a good deal on the DCF887 impact driver if I decide to sell the batteries and Recip saw. I already have a compact 20v Max XR Recip saw and it's always nice to have more containers for Dewalt tools. So any way I'm just wondering what any one thinks about the 20v tools being used with the 60v flexvolt batteries?

These guys claim not to use 60v in 20v tools.

I use my 60v batteries in my 20v tools all the time, no issues.
I have 6ah and 9ah batteries in the flex volt batteries. I mostly have the 2ah batteries in the 20v units.

I quit watching VCG after that video. And judging by the YT comments, it appears many others lost some confidence in his presentations.
Regarding your question, the cases of it affecting 20V tools negatively seem to be few.

I haven’t had any issues with them although I try not to use 60 V on my 20 V tools but when my batteries are dead I use the bigger batteries all of the time

I am a contractor so I use the hell out of all of my tools and haven’t had any issues

I was just thinking that it might be possible if the 20v tools is used in a manner that is not possible with a 20v max bat like the 5Ah bat. Basically use the tool non stop with the 60v bat and over heat the 20v tool to an early death. I appreciate all the comments. Lets hear more about other's experiances with 60v bat's in 20v tools.
