I've had mine since the late 90s or early 2000s. There is a decent amount of play in the sockets and wrenches so they are a pain to use in tight spaces sometimes. But other than that I have no complaints.

I've passed up several at yard sales. Years later they still show up at the same yard sales. Whatever technical merits they had, they're not a hot seller.

Had mine for 25 years, still love them. There is a little play in the movement but it's far outweighed by the ease of only having to carry one set of wrenches around. They grab fasteners SUPER hard and will remove just about anything. Very good build quality as well. Missing a socket and wrench, I wish I could find them at a garage sale by me!

I've never had the pleasure of using a set.

While they sound good on paper I'd assume in the real world they are great at rounding bolts.

There's always some floating around Ebay.

Are those guys still in business?

I received a Metrinch set as a gift back in the 90's. They actually work quite well, surprisingly.

I have a fairly complete set of the shallow 3/8" drive. Used them a few times - they seem OK. But I prefer 12 point sockets, and their broaching is more 6-point-ish. So I keep 'em handy for bicycle work and lawn mower care.

no, the 6 point sockets grab on the flats of the nut, so, can't round corners. the 12 point type I can see this problem
I really like my 6 point sockets, just as already said, they are not a tight fit because of how they work. had mine for about 25 years, done a lot of HD DIY repairs with them. I do use a different ratchet now, original is a lot like old craftsman in feel while using it

What makes them so nice on bicycles is I work on quite a few vintage bikes (which can have alot of SAE fasteners) as well as newer steeds (which are virtually all metric). The one socket set covers both. Plus - if I get a buggered or worn fastener - the Metrinch can accommodate most clearance issues. Just a good fit for bicycles.
