if you were a business that had to spend $13,041.00 for 100 sets or $20,895.00 for 100 sets, would you choose to "self-insure?"

If you make the right decision across dozens of tool purchases, you save, or lose money.

I can not say if they are the same maker, the only advantage to the Matco is warranty if you have a Matco tool man if not then is not much of a advantage.

I wouldn't count on matco warranty they like making manufacturers mad and then dropping the line. I've got an entire set of Gearwrench made zero offsets that cant be warrantied because of it, but if they were gearwrench they should still be.

They're just a brand name. There isn't a Platinum tool factory. I believe those are Kabo made in Taiwan. There are other names stamped on the same wrenches floating around on Amazon and Ebay.

All ratcheting wrenches fail eventually because, we as technicians tend to lean on our ratcheting wrenches and expect them to perform above their capabilities. :wtf: That being said, how great of warranty service are you going to receive from Amazon versus the warranty service you might get from your regular Matco dealer or independent tool dealer?

If you're not hard on your tools, the Platinum version should be ok.
