Hey guys the Chinese company that bought SK tools introduced their new modular tool box design,

It’s like a mix between a traditional tool box and a Milwaukee packout.

SK Tools Modular ToolBox Amazon

I was wondering if you guys knew of any other companies that make something similar?

Right now I have an older 2007ish Husky box, and an older KRA snap on top box on it that I’m still refinishing, but also using the drawers I pulled out of it for storage while the “frame” is getting work done to it.

At my dads garage in his house. But i was looking at the SK setup and it looked like I can make it a little easier to move by myself and more apartment Friendly

Makita is reportedly coming out with a new line of these types of boxes. They had some patents approved, just waiting for the actual release.

Nice, do you think pricing will be comparable or will there be a teal tax?

Knowing makita. They registered a US patent, but they will release it Japan first with a bunch of rumors it will eventually come to the US. After a year, year and a half people will start paying 3x to import them into the US through gray market. After another 4-5 years they will officially release them in the US, but by that time milwaukee will have packout 3.0 and no one will care anymore. It's the makita way, afterall.
