I live in Hawaii and I decided to order some tools online from ToolTopia for the first time. The estimated shipping cost was said to be $7.99 and the total came out to be around $300. So I place an order on my tools, and email them asking when I can expect for them to arrive. I later receive an email from them saying that I would have to pay an additional $113 for them to ship it to Hawaii. So, are there any other sites like ToolTopia that ship to Hawaii for a reasonable shipping charge?

How much does this stuff weigh and how bulky?

All I ordered were two Flex-GearWrench sets, a small flashlight and the EZ Red 1/2" Extendable Flex head Ratchet. I don't know the exact weight but I don't think it would weigh that much.

idk how the shipping changes for Hawaii. i know there regular shipping is $6.99 if you don't have the $100 order min. otherwise its free.

ive ordered from them many times and never had a problem, great customer service. give them a call and see what is going on, because that is just excessive in my opinion.

Living in Alaska, I feel your pain, we get grouped together and RAPED on stupid shipping charges that make no sense. Sears is the worst.

I have found that a Prime account on Amazon for lots of free super saver shipping is the first place I check for items I need. I can usually find something close to what I need for free shipping.

I bought 4 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires for my truck and got them shipped to AK for free from Amazon.

The new Amazon Supply follows the same plan and has tons of stuff.

Call them...tell them USPS...and your one of the 50 states...so it is the same with USPS...sounds like a scam. I find if you goolge the DA's office of the companies state, write down there DA's name, then call talk to a Manager..if he still trys the up charge...just tell him you will take it to XXXX DA's office...works like a charm...well the last few times I had issues.

I think I'll try asking them about using USPS. I looked up the price on the USPS website for a large/medium flat rate box, and it was only $10-15 from the location they posted on there website to Hawaii.

There are dozens of places like Tooltopia, google some specific tools and find a place that ships cheap to Hi.

I ordered off ToolTopia because of that deal you get for buying Flex-GearWrenches and get the bigger sizes of that set for free. I couldn't really find that anywhere else because either the prices were too high for the full set, they didn't have the deal or the estimated shipping the website told me was ridiculous.

Just give them a call I am sure they can mail it USPS, probably just some idiot working the sales desk that day. I can't imagine they would give up a sale so that they don't have to take a trip to the post office. Wait on second though that isn't so hard to believe.

Well, I tried calling them. They said that it was so high because the items were coming from different warehouses and they couldn't put them through USPS... So they said that I would have to pay the $113 or if I wanted to cancel. Of course I canceled...

So does anyone know where I can get the 8-25mm and 5/16"-1" set for cheap? ToolTopia and CitrusTools were the only places I found the free completer set promo.

The problem is they almost all have their orders drop shipped. That special is on the market. Googling kd 9901d completer pulls up other sites, but most specify 48 continental states. You need to find a friend or relative in the continental states who can resend the order.
