Yep. I regret not making it bigger. Decide what you want to use the porch for. Then make it bigger! A little more depth would allow me to completely cover my golf cart. YMMV

Not a pole barn but my porch is 12' deep. My seating arrangement is an L shaped outdoor section and 1 individual seat. It's shaped like a U facing out. 12' is doable and there is room to walk around the furniture but it's single file if you are. If i had known better (and talking money not a factor situation) i would have gone minimum 16' and probably just oversized to 20'.

Do you have any fans under there? I am thinking an 8’ or 10’ HVLS fan to keep a breeze and the bugs away.

My porch is 12'X36' with 12' ceiling.
Hot and cold water spigot and double deep sink.
Love it.

Building still isn't 100% done.
Still need to install exterior lights over each garage door and there are four hanging lights, three 6' ceiling fans and string lights going on the porch.

2-4' wider would be nice but its great as it is.

I have three 6' fans from home depot. My porch is about 50' long. I couldn't afford 3 HVLS for the porch, but i did put two Big *** Fans inside the house and would love to have more.

Mine is a traditional shed roof porch coming off the gable end (pic below is still from construction phase). 32' long x 8' wide. Concrete floor is 8" wide, though with roof overhangs the ceiling width is almost 10'. Coulda, shoulda made the porch wider.

I didn't do any overhangs during original construction of our metal building. Regret this big time, wish I had included one like this plus a 16 overhang the full length of the building(40x60). Doing so later would mean a complete second structure for each one because the original building isn't engineered to properly hold the loads plus windstorm loads also require it.

I am currently thinking these fans https://www.menards.com/main/lighti...20twi6sl/p-1566368844239-c-7486.htm?exp=false for the inside and outside.

Not as ridiculous pricing as a BAF

I wish I didn't have a huge drop-off on the side of my slab otherwise I would have absolutely put a porch/extra parking spot. Putting it on the other side wouldn't make sense either because of the way it's positioned relative to my house it would just be too close.

Great choice of overhead doors on your shop, those really look nice!
