Trying to find a quality 8ft hybrid bulb to replace my current fluorescent ballast bulbs. I'm not wanting to rewire and want lights for when the ballasts do eventually fail. Seems most I'm finding are ballast bypass or dual pins. I guess the question is do they make a hybrid single pin?

Thanks

Good luck ! In the end you will find it cheaper and easier to replace with some budget 4' double "bulb" LED "shop lights.

It takes less than 10 minutes to pull the ballast and rewire the fixture. I did all of the ones in my shop last year and used a Keystone lamp that I got from the local supply house. You will be much happier doing it that way.

Not that I know of. I suppose that there could be some no-name company making them, but I doubt it. It would be pretty hard to do based on the fact that they would have to be compatible with both magnetic and electronic ballasts to be marketable. That's a tall order.
The most common solution is to use a tandem kit, which converts your 2x8' lamps into 4x4' tubes and also bypasses the ballast.
Good luck,
