I'm a very novice gardener and I'm looking to build a budget irrigation system for my backyard garden. I have been looking at various models of automatic water timers and they all seem to get horrendous reviews. Seems like every one on the market dies in 1-2 years, usually by either failing to shut off and costing the homeowner a very large water bill, or by leaking internally.
They all appear to be made entirely of the finest quality chinesium plastic...even the fittings.
Any recommendations? Battery operated only please. Location doesn't lend itself to a hardwired install.
Thanks.
