I know Tekton has great support but was wondering what happens with stuff you buy from Dingleberry1436 and the like.
I was looking at the smart phone repair set and with an ebay coupon and free shipping and no tax it comes out cheaper than Amazon, HD, Tektron directly, etc. Those tiny drivers are pretty fragile so failure is probably a better possibility than with bigger stuff. I know I can buy Wera and buy a bunch of spudgers separately for a lot more but Tekton 24308 is a pretty complete Taiwan set but I am not sure that they back stuff that comes from ebay and other flakey sources.

From website:
If I purchased from a store other than Tekton.com, does your guarantee still cover it?
Yes, our guarantee covers your tool regardless of where or when you bought it. We don't need a receipt in most cases, just an image of your tool.

Thanks. I always wondered about ebay purchases.

I've bought from amazon, ebay, and the tekton website. Whichever was cheapest at the time.

I don't recall Tekton asking for proof of purchase when I needed a defective socket replaced. I filled out the online form, uploaded a picture, and a new one was on the way to me later that day.

That's some quality service right there. Getting warranty support on my older Husky tools, and even new Ridgid tools at Home Depot is a nightmare, enough to turn me away from both brands.

We buy Ridgid Vacs at work. We have successfully been able to get them to honor their "lifetime" warranty on about 5% of the failures.
