I have the black knight krl snapon box (see pic)

my SO guy offered a trade to me... obviously he overinflated the value of my box on the trade in value to get me feeling good

so here's the deal....

Brand new krl1023a with the hutch and stainless steel top, after trade-in $4200 (incl tax)

Thoughts?

Me personally, I would keep the box I have. I really dig the Black Knight boxes, I know a guy that has one that is awesome imo. Just looks killer. Anyway that is just my opinion, and opinions are just like a$$holes, everybodys got one. lol

I know in the latest snap on "hot tools" flyer up here they're offering a krl 1023 with the top and the hutch for 10500$. Basically you buy the box and the ss top and get the hutch for free. Figure what you think your box is worth then decide.

That's a pretty snazzy box. I probably would keep it, unless I needed to go with something different.

Just one thing, did it come with this van?

Sounds like it would be a great deal if you're getting significantly more usable box space...if not it's a crappy deal for just a fashion change...

I know where there are 1023's for 3500. Some are in great shape, others are in decent shape. If it is not a space issue, I would keep what you have. It looks very nice as is, and unless you have like tools coming out the ying yang, I would keep er.

ya ... i think you and some of the posts here are right

while there is some things i don't like about my box and it's getting beat up... it works... i'll save $4k for now

it's like they say... the house you just have to have, comes up every week... there will always be a great snapon tool box deal.

$4200 for a 1023 with a top and hutch after tax is a pretty smoking deal. But unless you just want to change or are getting a significant amount of space just stick with what you got especially if its paid for.

I don't think you would gain any space, more likly loose space. One extra bank is not going to make up for what that top chest can hold. I can understand if the box is not full and you want workspace. Now if you you were talking a top and bottom box, then yes, that would be hell of deal.
