I'm considering a career change and buying into a tool franchise. My father currently owns one in Oregon and he had been quite successful with it. I'm currently a mechanical engineer making decent money where I am at but I'm wondering if this new venture might be right for me.
I'm not really worried about the monetary side of it I think I could be successful there but my biggest conundrum is would I like it? Is this something I could do for the next 20 years or more. I'm currently 33 and grew up with my dad turning wrenches and I did the same in the military. Once I got out I got a degree in aerospace engineering.
If I had the chance right now to keep my job and own the franchise with someone else running the truck I would in a heartbeat.
