I've got dust problems at the shop giving me a heavy feeling in my chest, and have been researching solutions. The 25 by 25 repair shop is a real dirt/dust environment from working on outdoor power equip.which requires lots of sharpening with grinders and belt sanders.Plus everythings plain dirty.
I have tried normal dust masks but they fog up my glasses, even the ones with the check valve design.I recently got a "Resp-O-Rator unit " ( has a snorkel-type mouthpiece, that leads to 2 filters behind your head, and is efficient to .03 microns) but spit is always dripping down your front. So It's pretty good since there is no more fog,but it's a bit clumsey to use,and kinda gross.....
So reading the info on the computer about the Trend Airsheild Pro,it all seems pretty good, except it's not as micron-efficient.But looks more comfortable. It's expensive, but I feel like my job is killing me literally so cost isn't a factor so much, rather I don't want to waste my money on a piece of junk gimmick that doesn't work as advertized.
I know Sears has them in the catolog,so if I order 1 from them I know I have 90 days to return it no hassles. But on-line,there are better prices, plus I can get the ad-on ear muffs.
Sometimes I wonder about the reviews being biased that I read on-line.
So I thought I'd ask for some feedback here,if someone's got one, since there is no B.S. from the GJ guys.
Any thoughts???
TIA,
Steve
