Anybody else paint case markings?

Drives me crazy trying to see the the socket or case markings, so I use my daughters paint markers. I do get impatient / bored and run through with less precision than optimal

I will paint them now. I like it.

I have used a paint crayon to fill in embossed tools before.

I've tried it but the paint rubs out so fast it isn't worth the time.

I do it if it's something that is in enclosed area and generally doesn't get much contact with fingers, etc., otherwise as @seber stated, I don't find they last very long if anything rubs against it.

I've tried lightly sanding prior to application, etc., but I suspect many of the plastics are just not conducive to paint adhesion - at least with the solvents in ubiquitous paint pens, etc.

I've never tried any paint with an etching solvent though.

It usually seems like the more it needs it. The harder it is because usually that means very shallow. Etchings.

Here I did it on the bottom ones but not the top ones and you can see that it's pretty difficult to see the top ones



I tried different colors. These were some of the most difficult to do because they have shallow double line so there is an outline of the character.
