Anybody ever seen this Snap On box?

Every one I have seen for sale was crazy expensive or in such poor condition that I didn't want to deal with it

VERY impressive box for '65.

I made the mistake of guessing it was some kind of "Industrial" box from '80 or so.

There was a thread about one of those boxes a number of years ago: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35028 That particular box came out of the old Crane Cams facility, in the thread there's a picture of the Snap-On catalog page for the box.

Those were only made a few years in the 60'shop. As far as I know theyou were the biggest box of the era. There is also a matching middle box for that set. Simply guessing they were too big and expensive for their time and didn't sell very well.

The guy selling this one claims it is in very good condition and is asking $7,000.Too rich for my blood but it is a unique box.
