Looking to patch some rough spots in the garage floor. Bad spots are about an inch deep in worst places. Anybody had any luck using the concrete repair products sold in stores or have any other ideas. Not looking to tear the whole floor up or anything and it doesn't need to be perfect.

Thanks

Most of the products available at the home center are just fortified cement products which in my mind won't last over the long haul especially where the repair feathers to a thin edge.

I would seek out a commercial concrete supply company and get a 2 part epoxy based system to make repairs.

Most of these systems are 2 part and mix with fine sand to make an epoxy repair slurry you apply and smooth with an oiled trowel to prevent the epoxy from sticking.

Of course, a clean and oil/dust free substrate is required so be prepared to do your due diligence on the prep work or it will all be for nothing.

Dampproofing, waterproofing, and epoxy floor coating contractors may be able to help if DIY doesn't work out.

I've used the patch compounds and the composite stuff that comes in bottles. They always crack as the ground shifts or I move my vehicles in and out. But it's better than leaving the gaps.
