I won a Di-Acro #2 bender at an auction last week. I have wanted one since I was introduced to one back in Junior High metal shop and I finally got one.
It came with a few dies and pieces but its missing the lock down handles and all the pins. The pins are simple enough but can anybody help me out with some measurements of the Lock down handles? I have some 4140 PH that I was planning on using and I have a few questions.
Are they as simple as eccentric offsets to match material thickness?
Is there only one? On the Practical Machinist forum I have seen someone saying there are sizes, if so, what thicknesses are they designed for? I'm thinking 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4". Hercules Hydraulic only offers one lockdown handle.
What diameter stock would be used and how tall are they above the table?
Are the handles pressed in place or can they slide through the hole?
How long are the handles?
Its been a long time since I have used one of these and I don't really remember the lockdown handles.
Below is the only picture I have taken at this point. I have it cleaned up and in the process of painting.
Thanks for any help, Bryan
