I bought this off marketplace a few years ago. Seems to be Much sturdier than the husky stuff I’ve bought recently. Curious if anybody know what model it is or where it came from. I have a few sticky slides that I’d love to replace

Coworker has one of the bottom box. Only one I’ve seen in person. Have you tried reaching out to Waterloo?

I think some of those earlier Husky boxes were Canadian made. Definitely were heavier than current. I have a bottom from that era that is the same box Mac sold as their entry level 26” and I believe Blue Point used the same box. I’ve also
seen pictures of Beach boxes that appear to be the same.

The Beach Canadian boxes aren't that great. There was a short period of time when MAC was having Beach make their "Economizer" series. Absolute junk compared to the USA made Tech and Macsimizer series.

For years we all thought Beach made those. Then a Canadian came on here, very knowledgeable sounding and said no, there was some other player in that era in Canada that made those.

He said they were in an era of Stanley mergers and acquisitions.

Never seen that Beach before. Handle trim is different. Wish I could remember the name of the guy I referenced above.

It’s my favorite big & deep 27” top cabinet for my home diy tools. Bought many years ago when HD was clearing them out for $60. Should have bought the bottom too. IMG_2218.jpegIMG_2219.jpeg

Yep, Beach Industries was bought out by Stanley Tools around 1987 & went downhill after that & eventually closed up.
Waterloo was another Canadian tool box manufacturer, I believe in Waterloo ,Ontario but not sure about them.

Yep, Beach Industries in Canada made various styles of tool boxes & handles through the years & with quite a few names on them of varying quality , including some for Proto, Sears,Mac, Herbrand etc. Stanley Tools bought them out in 1987, went all to hell & eventually closed shop.
