I got this with a with a delta/Rockwell wood lathe I bough about a year ago.
I have no idea if this goes with the lathe or not but I don’t recognize it

Anybody have any idea?

The second looks like a home made version what this ad calls a steady rest, for keeping the center of a long skinny piece from flexing as you work on it.



The first May be a way to mount the second to the rails

Wow! Robert, something you don’t know what it is………it must be alien! With the wheels, I think RTM is correct, it’s a steady rest. I bet the wood part either broke or got lost and it is home made. How long is the lathe? My old craftsman didn’t have one of those. It was kinda short and probably didn’t need it.
