Anybody own a Bosch Code Reader?

I'm considering buying one. Are updates available for them? Does Bosch force you to update every year? Thanks!

Generic scanners don't typically require updates since you are accessing the global data through obd ii

Some have it as an extra benefit, probably for some manufacturer specific codes.
