My friend is shopping for a compressor so I have been trolling the local used market and came upon this compressor. There is no information in the ad regarding HP, CFM etc. I figured one of yall might be able to ID it. It looks to have POWER FOF embossed on the Tank but it’s hard to tell from the pic.

I don't know, but those nice big fittings would make it pretty easy to inspect the inside!

Probably used to be Power Force, before someone docked the R. (Lower bar not same length as other F)

Looks like it might be an ASME tank, which would be a good thing

That badge is ASME. Can't tell much about the pump from that angle but the oil sight glass is a good indication. That someone cared enough to put a filter and regulator on the output is a good sign that proper maintenance was probably done. You still want to get a look at the bottom of the tank if you can.

This is a flavour of ABAC pump used by many different companies. If it is in good condition and your friend isn't doing a blasting or sanding it might be a decent unit if it's going cheap enough. HP is anyone's guess since they made quite a few different units that looked very similar. That tank has heads that are only .094" thick according to the tag. I'd be leery of buying something that old with such a light duty tank.

If you can't see it running, walk away.

That’s the (Italian) pump used on dozens of compressors, like CMax, etc. I think it’s the same as the pump on my old Rand 4000.

They work ok, but are sort of loud compared to my Champion.
