I searched the forum and didn't see any mention of this model.

Prices on line are around $230 which seems like a good compromise from the higher end Speedglas that are $350 plus.

Seems like the 9100V has many of the same shade, sensitivity and delay features suitable for an occasional welder.

There is no end to the praise on here for the Speedglas 9100x and **, the 9002, the Miller Elite digital, all for $300-up.
If I know I am not welding for 8 hours every day I am looking for something not quite as expensive but still good.
I looked at the Miller Performance and was looking for whatever else I could find.

That is why I started this thread to ask about the 9100V only.

I bought a 9002 cheap off of ebay due to the seller listing as speedglass instead of speedglas.

Extremely delayed response but here it is.

The seller had it spelled "speedglass" instead of the actual spelling of "speedglas." No one bid against me so I ended up with it.

I looked at the 9100V and the 9100X awhile back. I chose to buy the 9100V, but the weld shop only had the display one in stock and he couldn't get it to work, so he gave me a little bigger discount off the 9100X and I bought it, but it was still about $60 more.

The only difference I could see was the size of the lens. I really like the 9100X, but If I had both to choose from I would probably take the lower priced v model and keep the cash in my pocket. If I used it all day every day, I'd choose the bigger lens.
