I have 3 pair of those. They are nice and especially at the sale price. I like that they have small plates under the legs that help distribute the load enough that they won't dig in or gouge painted floor as easily.

Mine were all purchased over last 3 years or so. Made in China.

They look much like the rest of the stands in that category and at the price I'm kinda doubtful they are US made.

I have them , were a gift from one of my boys , use them a lot , have a gmc 3500 box truck and hold it fine . I have scrap 1/2" plexi I put under them so they don't sink into the asphalt . Never not trusted them , but the hf ones I wouldn't trust , rock solid

Have the lighter narrow base stands,but use them only for holding up muffler pipe,or transitioning onto the wide base 6 ton stands.If you google "Images-jack stand failure"the lighter stands are failing under Ford F150 trucks,folding over,or something breaks.Mine are bent around the base from uneven ground,my bad there,the 6 tons have kept me alive though.They have a much wider base and more useable height and stability,as well as durability.save the $50 price increase elsewhere.The question of cast iron I beam structure ?Also see wikipedia-Nodular/Ductile iron/cast iron.http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d....oap?ck=Search_N0770_-1_-1&pt=N0770&ppt=C0373
Imports here,but superior to cast iron.If you want footpads under the legs,Sunnex and Import Norco have them I think.American made Norco available as well,but not for cheap.I/N said to have good quality welding done in Japan,comparable to Japanese quality.

Yeah, I read that and didn't look any further. I guess they will hold up my German designed, Italian owned, Canadian built American muscle car
