is this worth getting, I just remember they ran so much infomercials back in the 90s. Then no one mentioned them any more these days. Still expensive thought.

i've got a 17mm/?SAE size wrench and 10mm(recent garage sale find)
I would say the 17mm is a go to of mine when wanting a open end wrench to hold a suspension nut with me on an air gun tightening the bolt side.

I've picked up a few in the past year. Enhanced 6-point broaching looks like it would work well on damaged bolts. Have not yet tried them on a bolt yet.

I had a set. Didn't care too much for them. They often felt loose on the bolt head so ratcheting didn't work as well. Also the bolts and nuts would drop out of the socket too easy. I dropped more fasteners. They were better than the average infomercial gimmick but not comparable to the right tool for the job.

They are terrible, I bought a set of them years ago to reduce the amount of stuff in my road box but they are so bad I have only used them once.

Are these those weird-shaped wrenches that supposedly gripped the flats of fasteners instead of the corners? I have a very vague recollection of some infomercial from the distant past.

I've had a 3/8 drive set for years originally bought as a road box, they were great for getting rounded nuts/bolts off.I was never keen on the open end of the wrenches but the sockets and ring ends worked well,my set must be 15 maybe 20 year old now it's had a lot of abuse and still works fine although the original ratchets long gone but tbh it doesn't get much use now I've got six point sockets.

Yes that one. very distant past, sound like it was a great idea too....
dunno too much just came across it again, was impress by it when I was watching the infomercial way back.. Dunno why they failed so bad.. Then again, I had that Didi 7 stain remover that gave me a bad case of rash for weeks after I wash my dirty clothes with it.

I had a spanner set that I bought whilst serving in Germany. They came in handy for rusted/worn nuts and bolts that no longer fitted the correct size spanner/socket. Been looking for them for a while after my originals were stolen.
Not. Sure I'll be buying another, set looking at He prices today.

I like a lot of people got one as a gift from wife back during the TV infomercial days and still have it in my car for road service. I have never broken any of the tools and like above says when its no longer a size they do get stuff apart but they work as advertised over all as a one set fits most set. They still have a sales company in California that has been at the same address for a while but I'm sure sales are almost nothing compared to bake in the day. P/S the infomercial was probably the best tool sales deal ever and you can see it still on YouTube and the director or producer was Spanky McFarland from the Little Rascals as it states in the credits.

There were 2 iterations, USA made and Taiwan made. The original USA made sockets looked like 12 point sockets but 6 of the points were for a metric (say 11mm) and the other 6 were for SAE (say 71/16). As noted above these feel clunky and loose. The later Taiwanese sockets used something similar to a flank drive. I've never used any of these. I've never used or looked at a wrench. I've always planned to put my old set of sockets in the car, but haven't.

Good old Grandma bought me a set 30 some(?) years ago for Christmas 🥰 Pretty cheap, and only used them a couple times. Sat in a closet for years. Excellent, like new sets still go for very good money. Mostly collectors that just have to have a set maybe? Mine didn't last long on the bay..

My junkyard set is metrinch. Going strong on 10+ years now. Wouldn’t use them fixing stuff, but they make for a nice set to tote around the pull n pay yarx

I have been using their 1/4" drive sockets for about 20 years I find them great especially as I come across a lot of sheaply made bolts and nuts here that standard metric and imperial sockets don't fit I did buy a few larger wrenches years ago as well but abandoned them
